The judges chose Netry's creation based on the quality of the grilled product, taste, texture, ingredient guidance, and appearance. The bread being competed must have a length between 50cm to 55cm, while weighing between 250 to 270 grams. As for the salt content, it should be 16.8 grams per kilogram of flour.

As a champion, Netry is not stingy in sharing recipes. According to him, the basic dough for his bread is the same as the basic dough for baguettes made by other people. "Flour, mix with water and yeast, then let it rise for a while," said the shop owner in District 11 of Paris.

The difference is, he also mixed oranges and bananas in the mixture. Mixing is done before the dough is allowed to rise.

Another prize, 4,000 euros in cash, will be awarded by the Mayor of Paris Anne Hidalgo on May 7, 2024, during the National Bread Festival.
