Even though they receive confiscated money, it is not easy for LPSK to return customers' money

LPSK Deputy Head Antonius Wibowo, Wednesday (24/4/2024), said that after LPSK received the looted money in the KSP Indosurya case from the prosecutor's office, his party then followed up by verifying customer data as follows. "We are currently carrying out that process. "Only after that, we will assess the victim's losses," said Antonius.

According to Antonius, out of thousands of data, around 3,000 have already been verified. Meanwhile, there are around 8,000 data that still need to be verified. As for the 488 protected victims of LPSK who previously applied to LPSK, most of them are included in victims who must receive restitution as per the decision of MA.

If the verification process is completed, LPSK will proceed to the next stage, which is to assess the losses suffered by the customer or victim. At that stage, the victim will be asked to come to LPSK with their ticket. The ticket will then be verified by LPSK.

Transparent and accountable

Until today, we are committed to carrying out that because the sound of the ruling's command is for the seized goods to be handed over to the victims. That's the essence of it.

According to Antonius, his party is striving to ensure that the process runs transparently and accountably, including through cooperation with the Asset Recovery Agency at the public prosecutor's office. On one hand, LPSK wants to ensure the rights of the victims in accordance with court decisions, while on the other hand, they also do not want any victims to be overlooked.

"Until today, we are committed to carrying out this because the essence of the court decision is to hand over the seized items to the victim. That's the main point," said Antonius.

Separately, the legal representative of 1,057 victims of Indosurya from Visi Law Office, Febri Diansyah, when asked for confirmation, stated that there has not been any distribution of money to the victims of the KSP Indosurya embezzlement case. Febri also denied any information regarding victims who have received reimbursement.

According to Febri, currently, the victims who are accompanied are still waiting for certainty in recovering losses. His side will also coordinate again with the Attorney General's Office and LPSK.
