Wheelchair Transport Paralympic Athletes Demand Equal Rights

Their latest achievement was in Peparprov 2023, where they once again became the overall champion with 56 gold medals, 19 silver medals, and 4 bronze medals.

The athletes were previously promised bonuses if they succeeded in achieving achievements. The value is IDR 10 million for gold medalists, IDR 5 million for silver, and IDR 2.5 million for bronze. With the athletes' medal achievements, the total value amounting to IDR 980 million.

However, after waiting six months, the promised bonus was never disbursed. The athletes finally demonstrated to demand rights.

In their speeches, they asked the local government to be serious about developing athletes with disabilities. Sweet promises without evidence will only weaken the athletes' enthusiasm.
