After meeting with Nasdem and PKB, PKS plans a meeting with Prabowo

PKS continued its political friendship by visiting the DPP office of the National Awakening Party (PKB), Thursday (25/4/2024) evening. When confirmed, PKS spokesperson Ahmad Mabruri said that the meeting between PKS and PKB was to establish collaboration at various levels, one of which was to face the 2024 regional elections.

"PKS and PKB have agreed that they will continue to work at various levels, such as in regional and parliamentary elections," said Mabruri, Friday (26/4/2024).

Not stopping at Nasdem and PKB, PKS will also continue to establish camaraderie with other political parties. Furthermore, PKS has even planned a meeting with Prabowo. According to Mabruri, PKS will invite all political elites, including Prabowo, to attend the Eid al-Fitr halal bihalal on Saturday (April 27, 2024). "The aim is to foster camaraderie between PKS and various internal or external elements," he said.

Reconciliation

Previously, Aboe Bakar Al-Habsyi revealed that PKS would invite all presidential and vice presidential candidates for the 2024 election, as well as party elites, to attend a halalbihalal gathering at the PKS DPP office in Jakarta. This is because PKS wants to encourage good reconciliation and cooperation to build the nation for the next five years.

If Pak Prabowo comes to the PKS DPP, we will also give him the red carpet as the winning president. We welcome it, okay?

Although considering political cooperation important for the nation's development, until now PKS has not decided on the position to take in the new government under the leadership of Prabowo-Gibran. Aboe reiterated that PKS is ready to be in the government or outside the government.

"We just need to sort out the atmosphere and dialogue. Let's wait a few more days. If Mr. Prabowo comes to the PKS Central Executive Board, we will also roll out the red carpet as the winner of the presidential election. We will welcome him," said Aboe.

Meanwhile, Muhaimin reiterated that it was clear that he would support the Prabowo-Girban government. "I don't think there's any need to answer, it's already cetho (clear support)," he said.

General Treasurer of the National Awakening Party, Bambang Susanto, who also attended the elite meeting of the party and the Islamic Prosperous Justice Party, added that his party hopes that all members of the Change Coalition are in one united front. Not only in facing local elections, but also in political cooperation in parliament.

"PKB has provided support to Pak Prabowo. "We hope that all Change Coalition parties will enter," he said.

Cooperation in the 2024 Regional Election

Aboe explained that PKS and PKB have shown the spirit to continue the collaboration that has been established during the presidential election. After the election, PKS and PKB will continue their collaboration and political cooperation, especially in facing the regional elections in 2024. "We are ready to cooperate in many regions, especially in East Java, Central Java, and other regions," said Aboe.

Additionally, there are plans for PKS and PKB to establish cooperation in parliament by advocating for more positive laws for the benefit of society. Aboe hopes that with this meeting between the two parties, there will be good reconciliation moving forward while considering the fate of the nation for the next five years.

"We want to raise enthusiasm to continue our future readiness to build a better Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia," he said.

Muhaimin also stated that PKB and PKS have often collaborated politically. PKB and PKS are also part of the Coalition for Change which supports the Anies-Muhaimin pair in the 2024 presidential election. However, despite this, the Anies-Muhaimin duo lost to the Prabowo-Gibran pair who were already declared as the elected president-vice president by the KPU.

Therefore, Muhaimin wants the cooperation between PKB and PKS to continue to the 2024 Regional Elections. "We want to continue to work together in the central executive branch, the regional executive branch. If not in the central executive, then in the regional executive first. God willing, we will find a way to form a coalition. We have a lot of experience in coalition building with PKS," said Muhaimin.
